US Department of Education Announces "Stepping Up Technology Implementation" Competition for FY 2013

The Office of Special Education Programs, US Department of Education, announced in today's Federal Register a notice inviting applications for new awards for FY 2013 under the IDEA Technology and Media program's  "Stepping Up Technology Implementation" competition (84.327S).  This absolute priority will support cooperative agreements to (a) identify resources needed to implement evidence-based technology tools that benefit students with disabilities, and (b) develop and disseminate products that help a broad range of schools to effectively implement these technology tools.

Deadline for Applications:   March 18, 2013
Anticipated Awards:  6 awards are anticipated to be funded at up to $500,000/year for 4 years with an optional fifth year possible.  Funds for this competition have not yet been appropriated by Congress; therefore, projections for funding may change.
