coe-fac: Welcome back and syllabus

Hello all and welcome back!

I hope you had an enjoyable summer and are ready for the new year.

Attached is the syllabus template for the fall term. There are two new items.

I suggest that all instructors explicitly review the attendance and engagement policies and  incomplete policy on with students.  A couple of other things to note. All information marked with an asterisk is required by the university. All the language samples in italics are samples. You can modify for your course.

New instructors can access the syllabus starter at https://teaching.uoregon.edu/starter-syllabus..

Finally, UO policy requires that all syllabi are posted by the first day of school.
