I have had an opportunity to review OtP recorded faculty version of the College of Education Peer Review of Teaching Policy and will be returning it to the Office of the Provost for final review and approval with no changes. I am so grateful to the committee for their thoughtful development of this new policy especially as it was developed in the absence of any prior college policy on the topic of peer teaching evaluations.

I agree with the recommendation that we revisit this policy again in light of the promotion policies once they are developed. I also agree that we develop and consistently revisit implementation guidance around this policy as we learn more about the inevitable nuances of practice via our real-time application. Feel free to continue the conversation around this policy and let me know what discussions we should have together.

The Office of the Provost typically asks us to allow 60 days for their review of the changes to the faculty approved document and will send approved documents to us when their review is complete.

With gratitude to all faculty for your review and feedback. I'm optimistic about this policy, and I view it as an important tool in our college's toolbox for ensuring our continuous improvement.
