Hello COE Faculty,
Open Oregon is offering another round of virtual OER review workshops in Spring (May 5, 6, 7 & 10, 2021) to encourage faculty to review potential OER they may adopt in their courses. Faculty can receive $200 for attending the workshop and submitting a brief peer review of an open textbook on the Open Textbook Library<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/open.umn.edu/opentextbooks__;!!C5qS4YX3!W3v5yBYNEJ011fX8Q-Z_PEdG0GFKN-nAxfZkrYYZEx9-O__4y7noW4SmXZMWSAf-pQ$>, or $300 for peer reviewing materials they find in other open repositories.
The timing of these workshops may be useful for faculty who want to use the Summer to redesign their course with open or affordable materials. Open Oregon is also expecting to announce the next call for OER grant proposals soon and reviewing OER can dovetail with writing a proposal.
Links to register for the workshops and more info can be found at this link: https://openoregon.org/spring-virtual-oer-review-workshops/
Please feel free to get in touch with me or our eLearning and OER Librarian Rayne Vieger (raynev at uoregon.edu<mailto:raynev at uoregon.edu>) with any questions.
Best,
Katherine
