Greetings Colleagues,

The Textbook Affordability Task Force<https://library.uoregon.edu/oer> , which is co-sponsored by the Office of the Provost and University Senate, would like your assistance in distributing a survey to faculty with teaching responsibilities. We are hoping to learn more about how faculty at UO find and select course materials, including what factors go into their decision making process. We also hope to measure their awareness and perception of open educational resources (OERs). Faculty responses to this survey will help inform a Textbook Affordability Strategic Plan for UO, as required by Oregon HB 2213<https://olis.leg.state.or.us/liz/2019R1/Downloads/MeasureDocument/HB2213/Enrolled>.

We appreciate your assistance in sending this survey out and encouraging your faculty to complete it. The responses to this survey will help us create a plan that is customized to the needs of UO faculty and that will support students struggling with the rising cost of textbooks.
