coe-fac: Mock NIH and IES Grant Review Panels - Pls. respond by 3/16

The COE associate dean for research's office and I are organizing a set of mock NIH and IES grant review panels in Spring term for junior and mid-level faculty to learn about the grant review process.  Highlights:  COE faculty who are experienced NIH reviewers will engage in an authentic review of a funded research proposal (e.g., NIH R series:  R01, R21).  The grant proposal will be shared with attending faculty in advance.  During a 90-minute session devoted to NIH review, and a second 90-minute session focused on an IES review, we'll provide an overview of what happens during a study section/or review panel meeting, watch the review process unfold, and allocate ample time for Q & A.  Light refreshments will be provided.
