coe-fac: Your feedback requested on new LibrarySearch Beta interface

Dear COE Faculty and Staff,


The UO Libraries' online catalog interface called LibrarySearch will change to a new, upgraded version during winter break, between December 11-23, 2017. While the underlying search functionality will remain the same in the new version, UO Libraries is soliciting feedback from the UO community regarding experiences using the new interface. We are gathering and considering comments during Fall Term 2017.

The new interface's design was informed by results of user studies performed by the vendor. Some of the benefits of the new interface include:

  *   Enhanced usability (based on users' feedback)
  *   Responsive, mobile-friendly design
  *   Improved accessibility, i.e., compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA standards
  *   Modern design; less cluttered

Please note that LibrarySearch Beta does not currently support saving items to your personal lists, but that feature will be enabled when implemented in Winter Term 2018.
