coe-fac: Working Group Invitation for Tenure-Track Policies (from Lauren Lindstrom)

Dear Colleagues:
As many of you know, the new Collective Bargaining Agreement has provided an opportunity for us to review and update many of our internal policies and procedures.  During Spring term, Shaun Haskins and I will be facilitating a working group to  focus on policies related to tenure track faculty (TTF).   I am currently asking for volunteers from the TTF to participate in this group. I do anticipate there being opportunities for input from additional faculty during the development process. Specifically, the group will be developing and revising College level policies for:

1.       TTF promotion and tenure including post-tenure reviews

2.       TTF professional responsibility (aka "workload")
We intend to have one organizational meeting prior to Spring break but the majority of this review and development work will occur between April 1 and May 18.
Please let Shaun Haskins (haskins at uoregon.edu<mailto:haskins at uoregon.edu>) in the Dean's office know if you would like to serve on this important working group.  We'd like to have names of interested faculty by Wednesday March 4.
