coe-fac: Curriculum Committee Membership (from Brigid Flannery)

Dear COE Faculty:

I am writing as we need to establish the membership for the COE Curriculum Committee. Each department has two faculty members on the committee who can represent them and their departments curriculum.

This committee will have most of its work at three points of the year -  the end of October, the beginning of February, and the beginning of May (along with a planning meeting early in October).  We are expecting a number of proposed course changes as well as new courses this year.

Below you will list of opening by department for next year. The new internal governance policy indicates that the process for filling positions on committees is:

"In the interest of transparency and inclusivity, all openings on college-wide committees shall be announced via email to all faculty, who will then contact their Department/Unit/Program Heads about their interest. The Department/unit or program head shall forward names for consideration by the chair of that committee."

If you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact your Department Head by 9/23/2014. Department Heads please let me know your representatives by 9/26/2014.
