coe-fac: CTL Reading Clinic Tutor Opportunity: Fall Term

Hello,

As another year is beginning, I am writing again to seek your help in
recruiting UO students to tutor in our CTL Reading Clinic this fall. In
2014-2015, we are offering tutoring services to struggling readers in the
elementary grades in the Bethel School District. Selected Bethel students
will participate in two hours of small group reading and writing
instruction per day, Monday through Thursday each week, delivered by
trained tutors.

Tutors will receive training during Week 1 of the term, and begin teaching
intervention groups in Week 2 (note: all tutoring takes place in Bethel
schools).  Students may tutor two or four days per week.  Students may
tutor for credit, to complete a field experience requirement, or to
volunteer.  This is an excellent opportunity for UO students who are
interested in instruction or literacy or are considering a career in K-12
education.

I have attached a number of documents:
1) Program flyer.  If you have a door or display area in your department,
we would greatly appreciate your help in posting this flyer.
2) Tutor information.  This document outlines tutor responsibilities and
the tutoring experience in greater depth than this email.
3) Tutor application.
