Dear Campus Colleagues,
Purchasing and Contracting Services and Business Affairs are excited to announce a new punchout catalog on Duck Depot, Candex. Candex is a trusted and secure third-party payment system, used to streamline payment processes and decrease department effort to set up one-time service suppliers. The campus community may use Candex to engage and pay service suppliers that are not set up in Banner for a fee of 3% per transaction (min. $25).
Benefits of working with Candex:
* Fast & Simple - No supplier onboarding. Suppliers onboard themselves within minutes compared to the current multi-step, setup process in Banner.
* Faster Payment - UO's payment terms with Candex are net 1 day, suppliers get paid within 5 business days of Candex's receipt of funds. After the order is issuesd the only action needed on the department's part is to mark the order as received in Duck Depot. The rest happens automatically.
* Easy & Innovative - User-friendly portal with real-time updates and transparent payment schedule on the status of payments to suppliers.
* Less worry - Candex streamlines the payment process to ensure payments are made on time.
* Candex has you covered - A designated support team available to help solve any issue with multilanguage support.
How does it work:
* From Duck Depot, use the Candex punchout to begin building your order requisition.
* After your requisition is approved in Duck Depot, a PO is sent to Candex for the supplier.
* Your supplier will receive an email invitation from Candex informing them that they have a payment on behalf of UO in the Candex platform, with a link to get paid.
* The email will include a description and the amount authorized to the supplier, excluding tax (where tax is applicable).
* When supplier registers with Candex, they will add their banking details for payment.
* Once the services have been completed the supplier will request payment in the Candex portal. This will trigger an invoice through Candex to be sent to Duck Depot Unimarket.
* Once the invoice is approved in Duck Depot, payment is sent to Candex. Candex receives the funds from UO and pays the supplier within 5 business days after the funds are received.
