Dear Banner Users,

Banner users may occasionally be having problems with completing Banner invoices. There are two main reasons for these problems:

1. Banner 9 users should use Google Chrome as their browser. (If using any browser other than Google Chrome, users are finding they may not be able to complete a Banner document even if they previously were able to complete payments). Be sure to use the Incognito Mode in Google Chrome. If you run multiple Banner sessions at the same time use separate Incognito Windows instead of tabs.

2. When making changes in an incomplete, disapproved, or re-established Banner document, there are errors that you may encounter. ( A Service request has been submitted). In the meantime do the following:

* When making changes in Banner that do involve a change on the Invoice Accounting Distribution section, then please remember to uncheck the Access Completion Box in the Bottom center of the Commodity Info section of the FAAINVE Page BEFORE going to the Invoice Accounting Distribution section to make your accounting changes. If you do not uncheck this Access Completion box on the Commodity Information section, you will get errors (duplicate accounting lines, chart of account errors, etc.). Once you get these errors you will not easily be able to complete your Banner document and may need to contact Accounts Payable for assistance.

* When making changes in Banner that do NOT involve a change on the Invoice Accounting Distribution section, then please do not uncheck the Access Completion Box in the Bottom center of the Commodity Information section of the FAAINVE Page BEFORE going to the Invoice Accounting Distribution section. You will get a yellow message that says Warning! Possible Loss of Changes. Do you want to save the changes? Yes - No - Cancel. Always answer NO or you will get errors. Answer NO and you will go directly to the Balancing Completion section where you may complete your Banner document.

If you have any questions about these two issues, please email Accounts Payable at apbao at uoregon.edu<mailto:apbao at uoregon.edu> and Accounts Payable staff will get back to you.

Thank you.

Accounts Payable
