Re: Expenses Related to ESPN College Game Day

ESPN College Game Day, the nation's premier college football pre-game program, is once
again coming to the University of Oregon. ESPN will stage its production in the memorial
quadrangle area of campus and will broadcast live the morning of Saturday, October 26.
In order to help facilitate tracking of costs incurred for this event, we will be using a
BANNER Activity Code - EVNGD (Event - Game Day). For any "hard" costs (e.g.,
Purchase of Services or Supplies) expended by departments directly related to ESPN Game
Day, the BANNER invoice record should be marked with the EVNGD Activity Code.
If departments incur incremental payroll costs (e.g., overtime, hiring of additional staff)
above and beyond normal operations, and directly attributable to ESPN Game Day, those
payroll expenses should also be tracked using the EVNGD Activity Code. This code can be
attached to the payroll record during monthly time-entry window. Alternatively, a BANNER
payroll redistribution (PHAREDS) can be processed after payroll closes.
Note that tracking of these costs does not mean that the department will be reimbursed for
them.
