Fiscal Year 12 Year End Instructions and Deadlines

Good Afternoon,

Please review the year-end departmental instructions and the year-end 
deadlines at:

http://ba.uoregon.edu/staff/year-end-close.It is important for all 
departments to read and follow these instructions to assist the Business 
Affairs Office in coordinating the University of Oregon's fiscal year- 
end close.

Please make every effort to post transactions for June to period 12 
before we close period 12 on July 9^th at 5:00 p.m.To allow time for 
transactions to clear approval queues, be sure to post all transactions 
before 3:00 p.m.Fiscal period 14 should be reserved for accruals and 
adjustments.

If your department has made any entries to general ledger asset and 
liability account codes, those that begin with the letters A or B, 
please maintain a listing of those transactions in your department to 
support the balance in those accounts as of June 30, 2012.Balances can 
be reviewed through the Banner form FGITBAL.The Oregon University System 
requires the University of Oregon to generate supporting detail and 
account reconciliations for asset and liability accounts to support 
year-end balances.
