*Jewish-Islamic Resonances Lecture Series*
We warmly invite you to our next session:
Speaker: *Yoav Meyrav (Universität Hamburg, PI of ERC Project "Hebrew
Philosophical Manuscripts as Sites of Engagement")*
Title: *Philosophy on the Arabic-Hebrew Continuum: Between Manuscript
Evidence and Material Causality*
Abstract: Yoav Meyrav explores how Hebrew manuscripts serve as mediators of
Arabic philosophy—ranging from preserving otherwise lost texts to revealing
subtle textual nuances. These manuscripts sometimes challenge apparent
uniformity seen only through Arabic materials, and at other times, the
Hebrew tradition generates new interpretative puzzles. Together, this
reveals both the fragility and richness of the shared intellectual heritage.
Date and Time: *June 18th, 12:00 PM (Central European Time)*
Location: Sala Julián Rivera (1C), CCHS-CSIC, Madrid
