[Andalusi Studies] Una 'hora'

Hello everyone,

I would like help with the following:  "una hora de esclavos viles."

According to the dictionary una hora is: an hour or 'distancia de una legua'  or 'hora menguada' - tiempo desperdiciado. Of course there are other expressions with hora but specifically what would an 'hora de esclavos' be? Could it be a specific quantity of esclavos? Or, could it be a very long time?
