Actually, we have a witness which proves that the paper was used in
al-Andalus at least in the second half of the 10th century, because the
oldest manuscript we have in paper from al-Andalus is one copied in Cordoba
in 970. But we don't know if the paper of that manuscript was produced in
the Iberian Peninsula or imported from abroad. As you know, the first paper
mill documented in the Iberian Peninsula dates from 1056 (Játiva) and 1085
(Toledo).
