Hello UO Travelers and Travel Delegates,

(please feel free to forward this on to your department travelers if they do not receive Travel News)

It is a BIG weekend in Eugene with Duck and Buckeye fans flooding into town for the big game and the added excitement of ESPN's College GameDay broadcasting from Eugene. All areas near campus and the stadium will be busy, and so too will our city's airport.

Eugene Airport's Director reached out to alert UO travelers who are traveling out of EUG on Sunday 10/13 to expect high traveler volume processing through security.

Travelers departing out of EUG on midday flights on 10/13 should arrive TWO HOURS before their flight to be sure to get through check-in and security screening checkpoints.

The volume of travelers coming through security on 10/13 is estimated to be the busiest day on record, with the mid-day rush being double the check point capacity. Security screening for the morning traveler rush is expected to be slow, so plan to arrive early.

Safe Travels and Go Ducks!
