travelnews: IRS Personal vehicle mileage reimbursement for 2018 just announced

[BAO news for travel administrators]

Hello Travel Coordinators:

Business Mileage Reimbursement:  The IRS has announced the 2018 personal vehicle mileage reimbursement rate at 54.5 cents per mile.

Moving/Relocation Mileage Reimbursement:  Mileage reimbursement for moving in 2018 is 54.5 cents per mile, broken down as follows:


*          The first 18 cents per mile is considered nontaxable and coded 10790.

*          The remaining 36.5 cents per mile is tax reportable and coded 10780.
