Please be aware that your University of Oregon/US Bank Travel and Entertainment cardholders have begun receiving new T&E Visa cards in the mail with the new chip card technology.  Please see below for additional details.

We're converting all U.S. Bank commercial EMV® chip cards to four-year expiration dates starting on May 1, 2015. Here’s how it will affect your cardholders.

​Your U.S. Bank Commercial Card cardholders will begin receiving EMV chip cards with four versus three-year expirations beginning on May 1, 2015.

Because Corporate Travel Cards are on an accelerated reissuance schedule, all magnetic stripe cards are being replaced with EMV chip cards by October 2015. The new expiration dates will be based off the current card expiration year plus four years. For example:

Current Corporate Travel Card Expiration Date

New Expiration Year

2015

2019

2016

2020

2017

2021




Only Corporate Travel Cards are on an accelerated replacement schedule. We will continue to replace other U.S. Bank commercial cards (e.g., Purchasing and One Cards) with chip-enabled cards as they naturally expire and will update each with a new four-year expiration date.
