This year it’s being held on Tuesday, May 25th. As you know, UO Day is the day when students, alumni, staff, and faculty join forces to advocate for increased funding for the UO and legislation to support students.</span><br>

<span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">With the Capitol Building closed to the public, the event will be taking place virtually, so the time commitment will be pretty minimal.</span><br>
<br>
<span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Attendees will have a short orientation/training the night before, be assigned to groups of folks from the same legislative districts, and will have between one and three 15-minute meetings with legislators throughout the day.These legislator meetings will occur between 1:00-3:00 p.m. PT.</span><br>
<br>
<span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">While the percentage of UO funding from the state is small, it is crucial to our ability to deliver for our students. At the moment, the university is just $14 million shy of the budget request that we have for this year. Having a robust showing from faculty can help us close that gap – keeping tuition increases low for students and helping address the financial uncertainty the pandemic has caused for UO.</span><br>
