[Uosenateexec] Tough news on Wednesday's meeting

I suppose we could consider holding an emergency meeting in a local pub, say Max’s, where we could sit out back — we could find meaning in fellowship and feel more tethered… um… maybe by the need have a bathroom accessible?

And if this seems like too short of notice, we could go to the other extreme: put a note on your calendar for the hour or so after our last Senate Exec meeting of the year (I think that would be May 25), when I would like to offer to take you all out for a thank you beverage.

Dearest members of the Senate Exec —

I write to let you know that, unfortunately, no new motions were submitted this week for consideration by the Senate, and so I have (reluctantly) decided to cancel the Senate Exec meeting scheduled for day after tomorrow.

I share the pain you must surely be feeling at the realization that you must now find some other way to make your life meaningful between the hours of 3-5 on the day before Thanksgiving, but I do find some consolation in the thought of seeing you at next week’s Senate meeting, and in contemplating the continuation of our work winter term.

I hope all of you have a good Thanksgiving Break!
