Subject: [Uosenateexec] One more request for a quick vote for the final member of FPC
Dear Senate Exec,

We have a candidate for the final open seat on the Faculty Personnel Committee (FPC), Matthew Norton (Associate Professor of Sociology).

As the FPC would like to have its first meeting before the next meeting of the Senate Exec, I write to ask for another email confirmation.

Please reply to this email ASAP with a single word, either “Yes” or “No”. Of course, if someone sees a reason that we need to discuss, let me know and we can have a more deliberative process.

I ask you to reply just to me — this is not a secret ballot, but as a practical matter I’d rather not clog up people’s inboxes with reply alls. When we reach a quorum I will take whichever vote is higher and communicate the result to our candidate and the convener of the Undergraduate Council.
