<p class="MsoNormal">I hope this message finds you well as we look forward to starting the academic year.  As we begin to look at our September calendars, I would like to invite you to our upcoming

<b>2024 Senate Orientation</b>.  This event is for new and returning Senators to make connections and prepare for our year ahead.   <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We will be meeting on<b> September 25<sup>th</sup> from 3:00-5:00 in the Gerlinger Lounge</b>.  Agenda highlights include welcoming new Senators, a preview of strategies and topics we’ll be focusing on in the coming months, and an overview

 of what happens during Senate meetings and how to make your voice heard.  President Scholz will give remarks and Provost Chris Long join us for a conversation about shared governance and collaboration with the Senate.  Finally, the last thirty minutes of our

 agenda is dedicated to enjoying refreshments while strengthening our connections within the Senate community, with Provost Long joining us for this time.  <o:p></o:p></p>
