<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">For the 2020-21 academic year, a joint UO Provost Office and UO Senate taskforce has been working on putting together a strategic plan to address HB 2213 requirements and other issues regarding increasing
textbook affordability. Rayne Vieger of the library and myself are the co-chairs of this taskforce.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Our draft strategic plan is attached. We are asking for your feedback and suggestions for ways to improve/clarify the plan. Of particular interest to us is your input regarding Action Item 5 and 6 since
they are aimed specifically at ways to enable/encourage faculty to adopt low-cost or Open Educational Resource (OER) options for their courses.
