I’d like to draw your attention to the new <a href="https://provost.uoregon.edu/provost-fellows-program-stage" target="_blank">Provost’s Fellows</a> program that launched today. The Office of the Provost is hiring three promoted faculty to work on special projects related to teaching, leadership, and mentorship. These positions are opportunities to gain experience in campus leadership and contribute to some high priority areas in academics, equity, and faculty development. The Teaching Fellow, for example, will be working with the Senate to help implement some of the changes we proposed to how inclusive teaching is defined, assessed, and rewarded.<br>

I especially encourage senators to apply for these. The positions each come with three course releases over a year plus a summer stipend. See the program website or <a href="https://around.uoregon.edu/content/provost-announces-faculty-fellowships-lead-core-areas" target="_blank">this piece</a> for some further information. </div>
