<p class="MsoNormal">I’m a member of the search committee to select the new Vice Provost and University Librarian (the position formerly known as Dean of the Libraries).
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">A search firm (WittKieffer) has been hired to coordinate this search, and their representatives hope to have a profile description that will be used to advertise the position by the end of this month. The targeted deadline for applications
that will receive full consideration is mid-February. Campus visits of the finalists will happen in Spring 2020.

<p class="MsoNormal">Many of the members of the search committee are librarians. As I am not a librarian, I would like to contribute to the committee by bringing the perspective of what faculty are hoping to see in the new head of our libraries. If you have
