Good morning, Senators,

I want to encourage you to attend the faculty club. It's a valuable opportunity to build relationships with your colleagues. I’ve had a chance to meet a few colleagues that I did not know before and see others that I hadn’t seen since pre-COVID days. I also connected personally with some senators whom I had strained relationships with after some stressful Senate discussions this year. It’s incredible what an informal inclusive space does to mend those relationships.

The University of Oregon Faculty Club has reopened its doors! Join us every Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art for a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where faculty members can gather to hang out, trade stories, and meet new colleagues.

Enjoy a rotating weekly hors d'oeuvre menu provided by the President, with beer and wine available for purchase at the cash bar and complimentary soft drinks. All faculty members are invited, regardless of designation, so invite your colleagues and come meet new ones!
The club's co-coordinators are Judith Raiskin (WGSS), Talia Paz (Library), and Jay Silveira (Music and Dance). We look forward to helping you make the UO Faculty Club a congenial place to connect and relax with faculty members across campus.
