Dear UO Senators,



We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, September 21st (3:00 to 5:00pm) for the 2022 UO Senate Orientation-Agenda Preview. Please note that we will meet in Gerlinger Lounge. All of our other meetings this term will be on Zoom. This initial meeting is designed to preview and discuss several key agenda items, to welcome and onboard new Senators, and to include small group activities that will enable us to get to know one another better. Accordingly, our hope is that all UO Senators make it a priority to attend.



Here is our agenda for the meeting:

  *   Remarks by Interim Provost Janet Woodruff-Borden
  *   Getting to know your fellow Senators: small group discussions
  *   Preview of key issues and agenda items in 2022-23

  *   Overview of academic priorities by Vice Provost Cassandra Moseley
  *   Initiatives for UO Senate Committees
  *   Panel featuring Task Force on Service

     *   Spike Gildea, Task Force Chair
     *   Gerardo Sandoval, Senate VP
     *   Mike Urbancic, UA President

  *   Small group work on service challenges
  *   Senate 101: Roberts Rules of Order and other basics
  *   Slices with the Senate: Pizza and other refreshments
