[Uosenate] Mental Health Survey

Dear Faculty Members of the UO Senate,

I wanted to send a quick plug and reminder to complete the survey Provost Phillips sent out on 2/2. Now more than ever, faculty are uniquely positioned to recognize students in distress and to serve as key mental health "gatekeepers." There has been an increase of research on college student mental health, yet there has been very little attention paid to the role of faculty.

The overarching goal is to use survey data to understand what faculty are observing with regard to student mental health, their knowledge and awareness of student mental health needs, experiences intervening and barriers to doing so, and ultimately to identify opportunities for strengthening support for faculty.
