Good evening, Senators,

I wanted to follow Betina’s email with a couple of notices ahead of our meeting.

First, please take a look at the motion for a resolution supporting the ASUO’s decision to repurpose student I-Fee money. We will need to vote on whether to suspend the rules (the motion was noticed after the 21-day advance notice period) but, if that passes, we will discuss the motion itself.

Second, please schedule time to read the attached chapter from Dr. Bettina Love’s book, We Want To Do More Than Survive: Abolitionist Teaching and the Pursuit of Educational Freedom. We will be discussing the reading in our March 10 meeting. (Dr. Love is also giving a keynote as part of the TeachIN on Saturday, but it appears registration is full if you hadn't already registered.)
