[Uosenate] Sept 30 Senate Retreat Agenda

Good morning, folks!

I’m looking forward to our retreat and orientation tomorrow. Please do gather your thoughts and questions for Provost Phillips and EVP Woodruff-Borden ahead of time. In any other year, the retreat would be an opportunity for select academic administrators only to introduce themselves and tell you a bit about their plans for the year. But given the scope and pace of the potential academic changes for this year, I thought it would be wise for them to also jump right in and engage in some dialogue about pressing academic issues for the fall and decisions that will need to be made soon about the winter.

The handbook is a living document that contains handy information for Senators and members of senate committees such as the schedule of meetings, an overview of motions and the motions process, committee how-tos, and excerpts from various governing documents relevant to the senate. I’m attaching the handbook here as a PDF, but please note that the most up-to-date version will always live at the OneDrive link. Please try to review this document ahead of our Oct 7 meeting if you have a chance. Any feedback you have about the handbook is also welcome via me or Betina.
