Dear LSG members,
Please review and consider this exciting leadership opportunity. After meeting with Chris, I am even more interested in this program. Chris asked me to send to the LSG membership.
Hasta pronto,

Latinx Colleagues:
I want to share news<https://around.uoregon.edu/content/applications-now-open-new-uo-leadership-academy> about the launch of the new UO Leadership Academy<https://provost.uoregon.edu/uo-leadership-academy>. The Provost and Vice President for Equity and Inclusion are both supporting the program financially and I believe it will help advance the leadership capacity of our community in significant ways. This new academy is designed as a year-long professional development opportunity to increase one's knowledge (and efficacy) of current leadership models and grow a diverse cohort of university leaders.
I want to explicitly invite Latinx faculty and staff to apply to be part of this inaugural experience... as many of us see it as a pipeline investment opportunity-supporting the professional development of emerging leader of color on our own campus and enhancing the campus climate toward more inclusive leadership models. The target participant group includes tenured faculty members, promoted career NTTF, and officers of administration currently working in a leadership capacity. If you have colleagues who you believe would benefit from this development opportunity, please encourage them to apply as well.
Applications are due by March 2. Twenty-five participants will be selected and notified by early April. If you have any questions-I'd be happy to follow-up and connect with anyone directly. (I'm also working with two other colleagues who can help answer any questions... Sierra Dawson and Jennifer Espinola.)
