Hello,
You are receiving this email because you have volunteered in the past or have expressed interest in participating with Enrollment Management onsite in Woodburn for the 54th Annual Fiesta Mexicana weekend August 4-6th. UO is the main stage sponsor and has a large footprint at the event and in the parade. We value all volunteers, but especially are in need of Spanish speakers. We have onstage speaking opportunities, and because all the booth activities are based around “growing college students” all of our interactions are extremely hands-on.

It is fun, the people are amazing, the food is fantastic. You will have a blast, and help the UO make great connections. Please go to this form and sign-up:   https://ssem.uoregon.edu/volunteer to be in the parade or be part of the booth. If you are interested in spending the night in Woodburn, hotels go fast. We are staying at the Best Western: http://bestwesternoregon.com/hotels/best-western-woodburn , and there are four or five others to choose from also. We have no special rate at the hotel, so you are on your own for pricing and scheduling.

Here are the booth hours:
Friday-Booth opens at 12pm ends at 7:30pm
Saturday-Booth opens at 10am, parade at 11am, ends at 8pm
            Address to parade start: Woodburn Aquatic Center, 190 Oak St, Woodburn, OR 97071
Sunday Booth opens at 12 pm ends at 5 pm

Please feel free to pass on to those you know have an interest, the more the merrier. And do call me personally if I can answer any questions. I will be in touch with those that sign up in a few weeks. Please note, the sign up is for UO employees and non-employees. And sign-ups are open to all UO staff.
