On Thursday, November 13, 7 PM at Tsunami Books, we have two “sib” authors talking about their work. I’ll be discussing Range of Motion<https://www.amazon.com/Range-Motion-Novel-Brian-Trapp/dp/1946724963>, my debut novel partly based on growing up with my twin brother, who had cerebral palsy and intellectual disabilities. And Melissa Hart will be talking about Down Syndrome Out Loud<https://www.amazon.com/Down-Syndrome-Out-Loud-Determination/dp/146421669X>, her book profiling awesome people with Down Syndrome, and sharing about life with her brother.

We’ll discuss growing up as a “sib” in a special needs family, writing disability and caregiving, and how we can learn to think about people like our brothers in more complex and profound ways. We’ll follow that up with a Q&A.

It’s partly based on growing up with his twin brother, Danny. It’s about the secret language of siblings and the resilience of special needs families. This event is free and open to the public.
