Hi All - DDAM is hosting a zoom training/presentation on March 11. Flyer is attached and/or read information below in this email.

 Employers are invited to participate in this training which will consist of a panel of persons with disabilities. It starts at 10am ET so unfortunately that's 7am our time, but I wanted to share the event with you.

Description: Employer Disability Awareness Training: The Encounter
Date & Time Mar 11, 2025 07:00 AM to 8:30 AM
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. The District of Columbia's theme is "We're Here All Year - Influencing Change, Impacting Lives." Employers are invited to participate in this training which will consist of a panel of persons with disabilities. Training objectives are to
*Help participants feel more comfortable communicating with people with disabilities.
*Provide a better understanding of specific disabilities
*Allow participants to become exposed to people with disabilities in a safe information-sharing environment. The Windmills module entitled, Encounter, will be facilitated by business engagement staff from the District of Columbia Department on Disability Services and the Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired.
