🤍 Rest in Power Lois Curtis
We're deeply saddened to share the loss of Lois Curtis, the "L.C." in Olmstead v. L.C case. On June 22, 1999, the United States Supreme Court held in Olmstead v. L.C. that the unjustified segregation of persons with disabilities constitutes discrimination in violation of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Lois's fight for freedom established the right of people with disabilities to receive individualized treatment and to live in the most appropriate and integrated setting. We will never stop advocating for the significant number of people with disabilities still unnecessarily confined, and we will continue to enforce Olmstead v. L.C. to honor Lois' life and legacy.

♿️ Durable Medical Equipment Listening Sessions
Have you, a friend or a family member received Durable Medical Equipment (DME) through the Oregon Health Plan? DME includes (but is not limited to) the following:
· Wheelchairs (manual or electric/power)
· Scooters
· Other personal assistive mobility devices like walkers, canes or crutches.
· Hospital beds
· Lift chairs
· Assistive equipment for personal hygiene like bedside commodes, or shower seats
