Could you forward this invitation to the listserv? We are doing an out reach to highschoolers and college students with disabilities.


Greetings!



You are invited to come meet a group of high school students with disabilities from Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe at the 2022 International Student “Meet, Greet and Eat” (MGE), hosted by Mobility International USA (MIUSA).



Each August, MIUSA, an international disability rights non-profit organization based in Eugene, Oregon, welcomes a group of international high school students with disabilities. The students will spend a  year studying at a U.S. high school and living with an American host family throughout the United States. The MGE is a great opportunity for American high school students, recent high school graduates or college students with disabilities to meet peers from other countries and to share wisdom on how to make friends, get involved in activities, and do well in school.



The event will be held in a wheelchair accessible location with ASL interpreters and CART services on site. Travel stipends may be available for those traveling to Eugene from out of town to attend.




What: Meet, Greet and Eat for young people with disabilities from the U.S. and around the world to meet and connect. Share your advice, participate in icebreakers and games, and eat free food!

When: Sunday, August 14 from 4 PM to 7 PM.

Where: Living and Learning Center (LLC) South on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon.
