Subject: International Disability Alliance Key Recommendations toward a Disability-Inclusive COVID19 Response!
Brothers and Sisters! Sharing with y'all! Please, visit and share! Regards! Alex Garcia - Deafblind Person from Brazil!
Dear colleagues, friends! We are aware and yet are shocked to learn of reports that some of our brothers and sisters with disabilities are facing further discrimination and isolation in the current climate with the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the light of the COVID19 pandemic and with the aim to support a disability-inclusive response to the crisis, the International Disability Alliance (IDA) has launched a webpage to share the most recent updates and resources as they become available.
Our webpage includes our key recommendations toward a Disability-Inclusive COVID19 Response and as well a compilation of useful resources related to COVID-19 and the disability movement.
The recommendations also available on the IDA COVID-19 webpage.

If you have any updates on how COVID 19 is affecting persons with disabilities in your area of work, or want to share any good practices or lessons learnt, please contact IDA inclusive humanitarian adviser Ms Elham Youssefian via emailing eyoussefian at ida-secretariat.org<mailto:eyoussefian at ida-secretariat.org>
Regards! The International Disability Alliance.
Hi International Disability Alliance.- IDA!
Effective actions! Spetacular! I really liked getting this message. This message shows how serious and responsible IDA about everything related tothe world of persons with disabilities. I'll surely share it.
A brief report!
Brazil is going through a gigantic social and economic turbulence. Press is still reporting few concrete cases of COVID19 and Thousand of suspected cases. Even so, everything suggests that worst is about to come. Federal, State and Municipal governments are trying to act. Almost everything is being cancelled: schools, universities, air traffic and roads are shutdown.
The main recommendation is to stay at home.
About persons with dissbilities!
Until now I haven't got specific reports about persons with disabilities who were contamined by COVID19. Of course if I know aboutany case of discrimination I'll write to Elham Youssefian. But pay attention: I believe that it's a hidden discrimination. In other words, I've been following all News since the turbulence started and nothing or almost nothing has been said about persons with disabilities and COVID19. It is at least strange in country which has about 40 million people with some kind of disability.
Of course! We know how this usually happens: we are normally "invisible" and in times like these we, persons with disabilities, disappear!!!!!
Thank you and we'll keep in touch! Alex Garcia - Brazil - Profile clik here!<https://urldefense.com/v3/__http:/www.agapasm.com.br/Documentos/Perfil*20Ingles.pdf__;JQ!!C5qS4YX3!RywmH7pF_mIahKukjxZT6NE864i8uJScZyL_VU-tTx33zTtMJEcXnh_JiyYI5lk$>!
