Good afternoon

MIUSA is looking for high schoolers and college students with disabilities
in the community to help us welcome this year's cohort of FLEX and YES
students with disabilities. FLEX and YES are two concurrently run
fellowships for young people with and without disabilities from
predominantly Muslim and formally Soviet Union countries to spend a year at
an American high school. MIUSA is a Eugene-based nonprofit that supports
the rights and leadership of people with disabilities globally through our
international development and exchange programs, and we orient the cohort
of people with disabilities on FLEX/YES in a short workshop lasting a few
days before they go off to their host communities.

As part of the workshop, we would like our students to have the opportunity
to meet with successful young adults with disabilities like themselves who
know what it's like to go to an American high school and who can share
their ideas and wisdom. If you know of any young disabled students at one
of the local high schools, LCC, U of O or OSU, we would like to meet and
possibly invite them to join us for a few hours at our preparatory workshop
for the FLEX/YES 2019 cohort.

Any questions or ideas should be sent to Justin Harford jharford at miusa.org.

Many thanks
