uodsp: Skiing/Snowboarding Volunteer Opportunity with the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes

Hello All,

The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) will be holding a Skiing/Snowboarding Volunteer Orientation on Friday January 26, 2018 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Hoodoo Ski Resort. We are looking for volunteers with experience instructing skiing, snowboarding, or both! This hands-on evening will include skiing/snowboarding, and learning how to guide individuals with visual impairments. We will also go over different visual impairments, and how to adapt instructional techniques to each of them. This training is a great opportunity for our volunteers to prepare for our February program dates, gain instructional skills, and grow their confidence when working with this community.
