New on the DSI website!
Undergraduate Programs
https://studydisability.uoregon.edu/undergraduate-programs/
We are pleased to announce the UO's new Disability Studies Minor! Students can now register!
To learn more or if you have questions, contact Elizabeth ("Betsy") Wheeler, Ph.D., Director, DS Minor Program at ewheeler at uoregon.edu
The DSI has many people and groups we wish to thank for helping to make the DS Minor a reality:
Betsy Wheeler for her unwavering leadership throughout the degree approval process and serving as Director of the DS Minor Program.
The University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, Hill Walker, Jane Squires, Chris Murray, Phil Ferguson, Deborah Olson, Heidi von Ravensberg, and the Disability Studies Initiative Advisory Committee members for their long-term commitment to establishing a DS Program.
The College of Arts and Sciences for their commitment to making the DS Minor a reality and housing the program. With particular thanks to Betsy Wheeler, Andrew Marcus, Karen Ford, and Lexy Wellman.
The Undergraduate Council and its chair, Alison Schmitke.
The English Department, home of the new minor, and William Rossi, David Vazquez, and Melissa Bowers.
The Disability Studies Executive Board: Lisa Abia-Smith, Kyu-Ho Ahn, Taylor Eldridge, Hilary Gerdes, Lily Huston, Laurie Kahn, Judith Raiskin, Nancy Resnick, Valentino Vasquez, Heidi von Ravensberg, and Jamie Walsh.
The UO and the disability community for coming together to support the DS Program. With particular thanks to Hilary Gerdes and the Accessible Education Center and the AccessAbility Student Union whose student leaders are too many to name - but you know who you are and we could not have done it without you.
