I just wanted to extend this information to you all about the DIAC (Disability Issues Administrative Council) meeting taking place on Monday, 3/7 at 3:30pm in the Human Resources Conference Room, located on the 4th floor of the PeaceHealth North Building at 677 E. 12th Ave., between Hilyard and Patterson.

Please let me know if you are interested so that I can forward the list to Julie and Penny. Also, feel free to forward this on to other people you think could be interested in attending!

Good morning, Julie,

I am delighted to invite you and a few students to join the March meeting of the Disability Issues Administrative Council (DIAC) to have the benefit of your thoughts about the UO Access Shuttle.  Changes in shuttle operations were made this year in an effort to address capacity issues.  As Kassy indicates, with those changes in place for the past 6 months, it is an opportune time to evaluate whether the changes have been effective in addressing the capacity issues while still effectively serving the needs of those members of our community who have difficulty getting around campus.

The next DIAC meeting is Monday, March 7, 2016, at 3:30 pm.  The meeting will take place in the Human Resources Conference Room, located on the 4th floor of the PeaceHealth North Building at 677 E. 12th Ave., between Hilyard and Patterson.  I am attaching directions below.

I hope you and other students will be able to join us.  Your input will help in the ongoing discussion on how to ensure that Access Shuttle is best serving our campus community.  For planning purposes, it would be very helpful if you would confirm whether you will be able to attend.
If for any reason you are unable to attend the March meeting, our April meeting is scheduled for April 4, 2016, same location.

HUMAN RESOURCES CONFERENCE ROOM 409 – 677 E. 12TH AVENUE

LOCATION:

The UO Human Resources Conference Room is located at 677 E. 12th Avenue, on the 4th Floor of the PeaceHealth

NORTH BUILDING, Suite 400, near the corner of 12th and Hilyard. It is a couple blocks west of the UO campus.

  ·         The front entrance to our building (elevator/stairs) is
located on 12th Avenue between Hilyard and Patterson.

  ·         WHEN YOU ENTER THE BUILDING FROM 12TH AVENUE, take the
elevator (or stairs across from the elevator) to the 4th floor.

As you exit the elevator, Human Resources reception will be through the large double lobby doors.

HUMAN RESOURCES CONFERENCE ROOM 409 is directly to the right of the reception desk.

LANE TRANSIT DISTRICT (LTD) BUS:

  ·         If you are a LTD bus rider, we are the first building
located just one-half block south of the Hilyard Station EmX stop.

WALKING/DRIVING:

  ·         Travel west on East 13th (away from campus toward downtown
Eugene), turn right on Hilyard, then left on East 12th.

  ·         The building is located on the right side of East 12th after
you make the turn from Hilyard, with the entrance located just beyond the Sky Bridge connecting Sacred Heart Medical Center and the Medical Center South Parking Garage.

  ·         Signage in front of the building does not indicate that the
building houses any UO offices. However, the street number is displayed prominently on the side of the building facing East 12th.

PARKING:

  ·         Parking is available in the Sacred Heart Medical Center
SOUTH PARKING GARAGE, with entrances on Patterson Street, 13th Avenue, or 12th Avenue.

  ·         PLEASE NOTE: our offices are located in the PeaceHealth
North Building across the street from the Medical Center South Parking Garage.

  ·         WE ARE ABLE TO VALIDATE YOUR PARKING. BRING YOUR PRINTED
PARKING TICKET STUB WITH YOU TO YOUR APPOINTMENT/MEETING;

we need to stamp the validation directly on it for you. Our office staff will do this for you upon departure.
