We know our audience has vast expertise in diversity and disability and that  brilliant and innovative work and progress has been made towards advancing the full inclusion of all human beings in society. But more work needs to be done because the marginalization of human beings continues unabated.  In 2016, The Pacific Rim international Conference on Disability and Diversity is committed to exploring how and in what ways we can build and sustain a world where all are welcome to participate, where all enjoy the wondrous bounties of life, and have an adequate standard of living, free from the tyranny of poverty and exclusion.

In 2016, we will offer interesting areas of inquiry, which together form a holistic and solid foundation for exploring the conference theme - From the Margins to the Center. We wish to explore the economic, social, cultural, political and environmental aspects of marginalization and offer solutions, ideas and pathways to its demise, stimulating action plans towards advancing diversity - true diversity - in all aspects of life. It's getting a little rough out in the world for too many people but we have enough brilliance to continue to turn things around.  We invite you to share that brilliance, that positive future, that exceptional research and advocacy initiative with likeminded folks. With over 18 topic areas we hope to foment rich discussions, and  create spaces for learning and action.  In a couple of weeks will will start to put our keynotes on the website. Important dates to consider: Registration <http://www.pacrim.hawaii.edu/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=652&qid=257766> opens on November 1, 2016.  The conference is in April next year so that means the CFP will end earlier than usual - In December. Start planning now! We are excited to read your proposals and we simply cannot wait until April 2016! Call or email with your ideas - we are here for you and look forward to seeing your proposals, and collaborating with you. We want your presence here in Hawai'i!
