Our Brilliant and Resilient photo exhibit is on the move! For the next few months, Cigna will display these 30 powerful portraits and vignettes of disabled women leaders at several of their offices throughout the U.S. and internationally. The first stop was Cigna's Bloomfield, Connecticut campus. We thank Cigna for bringing the exhibit to new frontiers, and to Charlotte McClain-Nhlapo, Disability Advisor to World Bank, for speaking at the launch event last week. Stay tuned for more Brilliant and Resilient updates to come!

“'It is mind-blowing to see the extent MIUSA goes to to make sure this program is truly inclusive,' says Karen Johnson Lassner of Management Sciences for Health. 'Women have the opportunity to see what they should strive for when they return to their countries. There’s no other program like this in the world.'" The ADA, disability rights movement...and Bollywood dancing? Yes, all three were on the agenda for the 25 high school exchange students with disabilities who joined MIUSA’s August arrival orientation. For the first time, Bollywood dancing was added to a session on inclusive health and fitness and sparked an impromptu performance after an evening of miniature golfing, another "first" for the students! “Mini-golf was so much fun,” shared Nehemiah, a Deaf student from Nigeria who will spend his Youth Exchange and Study (YES) year in Colorado. “I love to see people laughing at their own mistakes!” Play the Flickr photo album to experience the week with the students.<http://list-manage.us1.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=d39e81314218b930d5315426a&id=2f08b3cc84&e=37466117e1>
