travelnews: 2021 GSA Per Diem rates and IRS Mileage reimbursement rate announced

Good Afternoon UO Business Travelers and Delegates:



The General Services Administration (GSA) lodging and meal per diem rates for 2021 are posted on their website.  The GSA table is set for October through September, so new rates started Oct. 1   You can view these new rates by going to the GSA per diem website:  https://www.gsa.gov/travel/plan-book/per-diem-rates



Remember that GSA rates are based on the location of the traveler's business, rather than the airport used or the location of the hotel.



Note: Portland lodging per diem allowance has dropped slightly.  Starting in October it is $152/$182 (down from $157/$192 in 2020).  Eugene lodging per diems have dropped slightly from $109 in 2020 to $108 for 2021.  Meal per diems remain the same.



Mileage allowance reimbursement which is administered by the IRS, has been announced as $.56 per mile starting Jan. 1, 2021 (down from $.575 for 2020).
