travelnews: Concur/Travel Tip - Winter weather and airline alerts

To UO Travelers and their Delegates –    (please pass this to all your UO business travelers!)

Important:  B​e sure you (or your traveler) are set up to receive weather and flight delay alerts and notifications.

You must provide contact information for airlines to reach you in case of flight delays or cancellations.: Here’s how:

·         Concur profile:  Be sure your phone, email contact information and your airline frequent flyer program information is entered in your Concur profile.


·         Sign up for airline frequent flyer programs:  Doing so provides the airlines with your contact preferences so you can be reached in case of flight cancellation or delay.


·         Download the Tripit Pro app to your phone;  This service is free for all UO employees (normally a $59 annual subscription) and is the best-in-class provider for itinerary organization and travel alerts.  TripIt Pro searches out and “pulls” airline flight and weather information to travelers, often before the airline “pushes” information to you.  TripIt Pro will alert you of flight cancellations or delay, connecting airport gate information, assists with rebooking a flight and for alternate seats, provides GPS mapping for driving and returning rental cars, and while at your destination shows ATMs, restaurants and other traveler services. ·         Download the Concur mobile app to your phone to make your expense report a breeze.  Snap photos of your receipts which automatically upload to your Concur profile.  Please see the attachment for instructions on how to download.
