Good Afternoon -

This is a friendly reminder that each transaction in the University of Oregon Online Airfare Authorization system needs to have an appropriate purchase authorization. The Travel Office can make manual adjustments to small fare increases ($25-$30) to a reservation, but for significant fare increases or for complete itinerary changes, please be sure to request an authorization for that specific transaction. Do not use a recycled authorization.

Not only does the authorization process allow UO travelers to follow our institutional travel policies, it was also designed to protect our travel agency partners, providing assurance that an airline ticket you are charging to the UO credit card has authorization from appropriate campus personnel. When ticketing an authorized purchase, neither party need be concerned about fraudulent credit card usage.

If you have questions about a specific situation, please let us know. Thank you for using our security processes.
