Travel Coordinators -

We have recently learned that Delta Airlines has been testing a fare type called Basic Economy, a fare that allows no changes, no refunds and no pre-assigned seats. Over the past several months, Delta has been offering Basic Economy fares in primarily leisure markets where travelers tend to book well in advance and make fewer changes than business travelers. However, the airline is now making these lower-cost, highly-restricted fares available more widely.

Travelers and travel coordinators are advised to pay close attention to fare rules and restrictions, particularly when booking Delta Airlines using an online booking tool. When booking through one of our contract agencies, your travel agent will advise of all rules and restrictions during the booking process.
Visit Delta's website<http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_US/traveling-with-us/in-flight-services/flying-economy-with-delta/basic-economy.html> for more information or contact your travel agent.
