travelnews: United Airlines Increases Change Fees

[BAO news for travel administrators]

Travel Coordinators -

On Friday United airlines quietly increased their ticket change fees.  Please see the fee schedule below:

Domestic Ticket
Old - $150.00
New - $200.00

International Ticket
Old - $250.00
New - $300.00

The new change fees apply to tickets issued starting April 19.

There is speculation that other airlines may soon follow suit.  If they do not, United may have to reduce their fee structure back in line with other carriers.  The Travel Office will keep you posted with any updates.
